Speaker William O’Brien |
From New Hampshire House Speaker William O’Brien, sticking to the perennial Republican hysteria over supposed voter fraud:
Turning to the issue of voter fraud prevention, O'Brien said his party will "tighten up the definition of a New Hampshire resident."
He said that Plymouth, a college town, experiences 900 same-day voter registrations.
"They are kids voting liberal, voting their feelings, with no life experience," he said.
Right, because only conservatives can be trusted at the voting booths, what with their considerable socio-political acumen garnered over long, busy lifetimes. After all, they’ve certainly made nothing but the right choices at the ballot thus far, right? And the fact that many students flock to register at the same time – which is totally not something conservatives also do – obviously means they have no idea what they’re doing. Collegians are just fickle that way.
Really, there are just too many counterpoints to make to this.
