Donald Trump
“I’m fired! … wait”

Welcome to all Crooks and Liars! … Wait, that doesn’t sound right.

  • Donald Trump [pictured] fires himself from his fake presidential run. I’m not sure his stunt got him quite the sort of publicity he wanted. | Update: (05/16/11 7:10 PM) – As I was saying.

  • Texas House bans public servants from touching passengers’ privates during pat-downs. Okay, what’s the catch? There has to be a catch. It’s Texas. They can’t pass sane bills.
    (via Joe. My. God.)

  • Vox Day: Seven paragraphs of gnashing teeth over how atheists don’t want to debate Christian loons (like himself).

  • Rush Limbaugh: Being accused of rape is a resumé enhancement for liberals and Democrats. (Not included: Any credible example.)

  • Secular sex survey results: Religious folks have just as much sex as atheists, only with more guilt.

Fail Quote: NH House Speaker wants to limit liberal college student votes

New Hampshire House Speaker William O’Brien (R)
Speaker William O’Brien

From New Hampshire House Speaker William O’Brien, sticking to the perennial Republican hysteria over supposed voter fraud:

Turning to the issue of voter fraud prevention, O'Brien said his party will "tighten up the definition of a New Hampshire resident."

He said that Plymouth, a college town, experiences 900 same-day voter registrations.

"They are kids voting liberal, voting their feelings, with no life experience," he said.

Right, because only conservatives can be trusted at the voting booths, what with their considerable socio-political acumen garnered over long, busy lifetimes. After all, they’ve certainly made nothing but the right choices at the ballot thus far, right? And the fact that many students flock to register at the same time – which is totally not something conservatives also do – obviously means they have no idea what they’re doing. Collegians are just fickle that way.

Really, there are just too many counterpoints to make to this.
