That which will happen again … someday

The last one that came by for a visit was about 65 million years ago and wiped out nearly all life on Earth. It’s happened before that, too … and it will happen again. All we can do is wonder … When?

Someday, you, your children, or your great²³-grandchildren may see the sky suddenly flash blindingly, feel the ground shake, and pause, only for an moment or two, to wonder what was going on … before meeting a very sudden end.

Odd how we humans can find certain things both intellectually fascinating yet viscerally horrifying.
