Rep. Gohmert goes apeshit on CNN about “terror babies”

This almost has to be seen to be believed; it’s that good. Watch as CNN’s Anderson Cooper (who recently interviewed Christopher Hitchens) interviews Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) about the GOP’s latest scare meme about “terror/anchor babies” – and Gohmert goes absolutely nuts when Cooper asks for any shred of evidence in support of this latest conspiracy theory (that the FBI itself hadn’t already dismissed as hogwash).

It seems that it’s no longer creative hyperbole to post these things under blog titles such as “Republican freaks out”, as it’s exactly what happened. Kudos to Cooper for keeping his cool opposite the raging, demagogic Gohmert and calling him out on his unsubstantiated nonsense. I can just see him turning around the minute the feed cut to commercials, breathing a sigh and smiling as he mutters, “I love my job …”
