Yay for Huddy! Oh, and if House is still hallucinating, I’m gonna find myself a pike to stick some writers’ heads on. (And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, FOR SHAME.)

  • School official who canceled a girls’ high school basketball team’s trip to Arizona once supported a program where gay students shared their experiences, and later made students read a play featuring explicit sexual descriptions, including gay sex acts. Faux News: She’s trying to make kids gay! HAIT HER!!!11!

  • Chicago officer Craig Lancaster shot his gun in the air to prove cops aren’t given preferential treatment over civilians when breaking the law. Surprise: he was acquitted. Despite being caught on camera. His worldview must be shaken.
(via Dispatches From the Culture Wars)

  • 8 years after a horrific school in Saudi Arabia fire took the lives of 15 young girls who were prevented from leaving because they weren’t dressed modestly enough, the religious ministry has ordered the equally religious police to allow firefighters to enter schools under such circumstances, even if they’re male. Allowing men to save young girls from burning alive, even if they aren’t covered head-to-toe in cloth – now that’s progress!

  • Pedophile Island! Or alternatively, Isla Kiddydiddler. Or something.

  • NOAA: The combined global land and ocean average surface temperature for April 2010 was the warmest on record.

  • Pity the Travoltas. Poor guys, poor dogs.

As always, if you have any story suggestions, feel free to send them in.
