Some of the very few TV commercials I actually don’t hate are those from the Dyson company, which builds the world’s best vacuum cleaners. Seriously, the guy’s a genius – and here’s yet more proof of this. Tired of those inefficient fans with all those dangerous spinning blades? Fine, then – how ’bout one single loop, capable of creating one single, continuous flow of air (as opposed to bladed fans, which just buffet (push) the air in really quick intervals to make it seem like air is moving continuously). No spinning, blades, no danger, and 100% efficiency. Compare that to standard fans, will ya?
In case you’re wondering how what is basically a magnifying class without the lens could push air without moving an inch – and with no blades – here ya go: a little explanatory video.
Anyone who’s complaining about me wasting a blog post to talk about a fan: shuddup! This is cool stuff, and I like cool stuff, and I like my fans, so there.
