Blogger now has integrated expandable post summaries!

| »

Ever felt like some of your longer posts were just too lengthy on your blog's front page? Ever wished you could hide some of it, only to make it visible if someone clicked a little "Read more …" link, like so many bloggers do?

There are a number of manual ways to do this; I've been using this version of the feature up 'til now, which allows you to manually place a few lines of code to obtain customizable "Read More ..." links wherever you want them (so they don't appear automatically at the end of every post, including non-shortened ones). It's a wonderful bit of code and it works perfectly ... only now, Blogger's gone and done even better!

In their ongoing spree of feature releases for Blogger's 10th birthday (*blows noisemaker*), they've now integrated a perfect little expandable posts option. The magnificent, beautiful, love-of-my-life Blogger Buster has the details; you can also check Blogger's own post on the subject, with a few more in-depth details for customization.

It's ridiculously easy – as one click of a button should be. Enjoy! =)
