  • Aberdeen, SD (October 03): Police shoot and injure loose pitbull after it allegedly attacked and killed a West Highland Terrier that was tied up in its garage. Pitbull ran off and hasn’t been seen since; police presume it died. Let the blaming of the dog’s breed (rather than its evidently incompetent owner) begin!

  • Colorado Springs, CO (October 04): Alleged “pitbull” shot and killed after posing an “imminent threat to school children”. Witness in the comments claims the dog and its companion were just strolling around peacefully when trigger-happy animal control officers showed up and opened fire.

  • Memphis, TN (October 11): Cop sees Pepper the Labrador playing with children, orders her to stop. She does. Cop shoots her anyway, then chases after her when she runs off in pain and shoots her again. Pepper apparently survives. Will be fun seeing what kind of excuses the police department pulls out this time.

  • Memphis, TN (date unknown): Clusterfuck as officer beats and shoots Duncan the American Bulldog dead in his own driveway for allegedly attacking a police dog. Family says Duncan was attacked first and was just defending himself. Naturally, they’re additionally cited for not keeping their dog on a leash.
