Georgia debating whether to ban photoshopped nude celebrities

I guess Georgia must be a pretty idyllic place to live right now, seeing as crime, budgets and education are such low priorities that lawmakers are instead free to focus on sending people to jail for photoshopping celebrities’ heads into nude photos:

Georgia lawmakers are considering a bill that would make it illegal to alter photo to make it appear someone's head is on a nude body unless they o-k it.

Conyers Democrate Pam Dickerson filed HB 680 in December.

It would make it illegal to "Photoshop" a photo and post the image online without permission.

A person would break the law if they defamed a person by identifing them in a so-called "obscene depiction" in such a manner that a reasonable person would conclude that the image depicted was that of the person so wrongfully identified.

[…]

If enacted, any person convicted of violation the law would be guilty of a misdemeanor and would be punished by a fine of not more than $1,000 or by a year in jail, or both.

I’ll just let Conan O’Brien take it from here:

Remember: The only effective tool against stupidity is mockery.
