Rick Santorum: Health exceptions to abortion bans are “phony”

In which the frothy mix continues to increase in fecal matter:

When discussing his track record as a champion of the partial birth abortion ban, [Rick] Santorum dismissed exceptions other senators wanted to carve out to protect the life and health of mothers, calling such exceptions “phony”:

SANTORUM: When I was leading the charge on partial birth abortion, several members came forward and said, “Why don’t we just ban all abortions?” Tom Daschle was one of them, if you remember. And Susan Collins, and others. They wanted a health exception, which of course is a phony exception which would make the ban ineffective.

I honestly cannot think of anything I could say (or any way I could paraphrase such remarks) that could possibly make it clearer that this man doesn’t give the slightest shit if women suffer and die as a result of not being allowed to terminate any dangerous pregnancy.

I think it’s time we gave his “Google problem” another go.
