The great David McCandless at Information is Beautiful has released an animated visualization of Atlantic fish stocks in 1900 and 2000. The results are even worse than I would’ve guessed:
It took me a moment to even realize there was still actually some yellow. You know, there. Along the East Coast. Squint, you’ll see it.
Of course, I’m sure such a decline won’t have any negative effects whatsoever … right?
