WorldNetDaily keeps up its anti-Islamic fear-mongering

| »

Here’s another one of those wonderful “WorldNetDaily Exclusive” headlines that no sane media outlet on the planet would actually print:

WorldNetDaily Exclusive headline: “Will Statue of Liberty be fitted with Muslim burkha?”

We also get an accompanying preview, from the Shariah4America website:

Statue of Liberty with burkha

Alert! A tiny group of whackjobs wants to impose their religion over the American people! Although, they’d have some fierce competition from the faction of Christian-Americans who also want to, um, impose their religion over the American people. Specifically, non-Christians.

Really, this just brings up the issue of whether or not we should take threats about the impending Islamization of the United States seriously. Ed Brayton of Dispatches from the Culture Wars nailed it last week when he explained that, however horrible radical Islamic ideology may be, it’s simply not a credible reason for worry, and that those who are breathlessly calling for immediate action against it are either irrational lunatics or demagogic con-artists trying to stir up a wave of panic to ride into power.

So, with that in mind, I shall give WorldNetDaily’s idiotic question the answer it deserves:
