Fail Tweet: Sarah Palin still doesn’t get First Amendment

From Queen of Idiot America Sarah Palin, tweeting her outrage over the latest Supreme Court ruling in favor of upholding Westboro Baptist Church’s free-speech right to picket military funerals:

Except that you can “invoke God’s name in [a] public square”. But the government can’t promote one (or more) religion(s) over any others. Which is decreed under the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, not the Free Speech Clause, something that Miss “America By Heart” obviously does not comprehend.

And that’s not even mentioning the blatant hypocrisy on display, here. Time and time again, Palin has raged against criticism, such as with her clueless defense of Dr. Laura “nigger nigger nigger!” Schlessinger, or any of the countless times she’s complained about the “lamestream media” actually reporting on the innumerable moronic things she’s said. Yet now, she’s opposing Westboro’s own free speech rights because she doesn’t like what they say? Granted, it’s rather a universally disgusting message, but the point remains: You either support free speech or you don’t. This applies to all, from the good to the rotten.

Glenn Greenwald requests that someone should explain to Palin, as they would to a retarded infant, just how the First Amendment works. I suggest that such would be an utterly pointless endeavor. Either Palin already knows, in which case she’s dishonest to the core, or she’s simply incapable of grasping such simple concepts at this point. Either way, you’d do better to simply ignore her (or occasionally mock her).
