Maddow on the pathetic case for Prop H8

| »

It’s common knowledge to anyone on the side of reason and acceptance that there are simply no logical and credible arguments to be made against allowing same-sex couples to marry. Of course, though, that certainly doesn’t stop opponents from trying, consistently dredging up the usual, tired and ridiculous old arguments that we’re so accustomed to hearing. Well, guess what? These same arguments are exactly what was presented to make the case in support of Prop 8 during the trial. (Which recently ended with a ruling overturning Prop H8. Just felt like slipping that in.)

However, even knowing this won’t stop you from laughing when you realize just how utterly piss-poorly the case for the same-sex marriage ban was argued in court. For this, I give you this great segment from Rachel Maddow:

Seriously, it’s like they weren’t even trying. All the better for the rest of us.
