Sometimes, the best way to fight ignorance and bigotry is with some gentle (or not-so-gentle) mocking. And these pro-LGBT counter-protestors have it down just right:

My favorite is definitely the elderly man at the 0:35 mark with the sign reading: “82 years (and 9 months) of being gay! But maybe it’s just a phase I’m going through.” Though, I also quite liked the one that went: “If God hates fags, why are we so cute?” Well, I wouldn’t know about that …^[1]

Also, isn’t it somewhat telling that all the anti-LGBT protestors look rather sour, in contrast to the light-hearted counter-protestors? It’s almost as if hatred made you miserable or something.
