Prejudice is getting weirder and more confusing. It used to be about just keeping people separate that you didn’t like; like interracial marriage, years ago, they were like, “Don’t let Black people marry us! Don’t let them marry us! Make them marry each other only!” (Not a lot of wristbands back then.) [mild laughter] Today, with gay people, they’re like, “Don’t let them marry each other! Make them marry … us?” Bigotry is confusing.
