Taliban hangs 7-year-old boy accused of spying

| »

Again, more of a reason to either to A) be proud you’re not in Afghanistan; or if you are, B) get the fuck out along with your loved ones, especially children: They may be executed by religio-politically-fueled monsters for imaginary crimes. Here’s a video from CNN and my transcript:

KYRA PHILIPS: He was just 7 years old, but in the end, he was brutalized like a grown man. Suspected Taliban militants have executed a 7-year-old in Afghanistan, accusing him of spying for the government. The boy was killed Tuesday in Helmand province. […]

NIC ROBERTSON: Allegedly, he was taken from his village, a remote village in the northern Helmand close to where British troops operate, and while he was there, he was taken to a tree and hung from the tree, and executed. We asked President Karzai about this a little earlier today, and he told us that he still hadn’t been able to confirm these details […]

PRESIDENT KARZAI: A 7-year-old boy cannot be a spy. A 7-year-old boy cannot be anything other than a 7-year-old boy. And therefore, hanging or shooting to kill a 7-year-old boy, regardless of whatever reason one would give for it, is a crime against humanity.

Just abusing a 7-year-old boy – or any child – ought to be a crime against humanity.

Y’know, I can just imagine how much of a threat the little kid must’ve appeared to be in their eyes. It’s the new craze, these spy kids.
