The more I think about it, the more I realize that throughout history, the whole of humanity has shown itself to be a diluted and toned-down version of what the modern far-Right has become: amongst other things, always willing to do whatever it takes to get what we want at the expense of the world and people around us. Sad and haunting.

(via @nytimes)Utah woman used Google Maps to get walking directions that led her onto a patently un-pedestrian-friendly busy rural highway that lacked sidewalks. She took the highway nonetheless, ended up hit by a car. She’s now suing Google and the man who hit her. Yeah … whatever I’m feeling about her, it isn’t pity. More like derision.
Friendly reminder: after polluting the planet to hazardous levels, we’re now polluting the skies [pictured] to the point where it’s becoming dangerous as well. Yeah, humanity sure knows how to clean up after itself, doesn’t it.
