FAIL Quote of the Day: Kids can get healthcare, adults can screw off

Trying to cut off health insurance to sick people makes me smile

From Rep. Roy Blunt (R-MO), living up to both his name and his party as he meets with healthcare professionals over the issue of healthcare reform:

BLUNT: Access for kids who have pre-existing conditions, who would be against that? But access for adults, who have done nothing to take care of themselves, who actually will have as I’ve just described every incentive not to get insurance until the day that you know that you’re going to have medical expenses, that’s, that’s a very different kind of story.

Sick kid? Okay, here, go get treated. Sick adult? Sorry, go die somewhere far away where you can’t annoy us with your, you know, sickness and healthcare needs and all that. Come back when you’ve gone back in time and stopped yourself from getting some unforeseeable medical problem or complication. Health insurance is for healthy people, you know!
