FAIL Quote of the Day: Same morons will spout the same nonsense

From Liz Cheney’s McCarthyite group, Keep America ScaredSafe, which still has some obvious problems with getting a grip on reality:

[AG Eric] Holder said Tuesday “these defendants charged with murder would be treated just like any other murder defendants…Are they being treated as murderers would be treated? The answer to that question is, yes, they have the same rights that a Charles Manson would have.”

In response, [Keep America Safe Board of Directors member Debra] Burlingame said the KSM trial “isn’t anything like trying Charlie Manson.”

“Putting Charlie Manson in a civilian court didn’t endanger any intelligence secrets,” she said. “When he draws analogies like that, that’s when he loses people. It appears as if he doesn’t know we’re at war.”

For fuck’s sake, when will these idiots drop the ridiculous and tired old “Obama doesn’t know America is at war with terrorists!” guff? You’d think that, for starters, the fact that the Obama administration is killing off more terrorists faster in their first year than Bush & co. ever did would be some sort of an indication that maybe the president and his team does know they’re at war with terrorists.

This is really aimed at the whole amalgamation of moronic fear-mongers at Keep America Safe: for showing such contempt and dishonesty towards the leadership of your country in a manner that borders on anti-patriotic, your endless use of distortions and lies in order to propagate fear and dissent, for your constant reiteration of tired and debunked claims, and for being a bunch of sniveling, cowardly little demagogues, you’re a total FAILure and an embarrassment to the United States.
