• You’d think it was obvious, but apparently, they needed a court ruling to tell them that, no, cyberbullying and threats are not protected speech under the First Amendment.

• He’s on a roll: the latest dolt to be smacked down by Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) is Peggy Noonan at a table discussion on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

• NYC police have erroneously raided an elderly couple’s home over 50 times due to a supposed computer glitch. Here’s a telling quote from NYPD spokesman Paul Browne: “The department has flagged the address so the police will not go there unless the address is double checked”. Um … shouldn’t it be the police’s policy that every address be double-checked before launching an operation?

• Here’s one I also don’t understand: why all the hate from liberals and progressives towards libertarians? Not talking about libertarian extremists or nutjobs, but regular folks who simply believe in a healthy skepticism of the government’s power and intentions.

• Does this sound familiar? A) motorist claims to have been brutalized by cops; B) cops claim innocence; C) dash-cam footage supports motorist’s claim and contradicts cops’ report; D) cops try like hell to prevent footage from being released. Oh, there you go, I knew you’d heard it all before.

• Lawyers are starting to rethink their habit of slapping charges of possession/distribution of child porn onto kids caught “sexting”. Hey, who knows, maybe there’ll be less lives ruined over the petty grievances of supposedly responsible adults, now.
