A couple of days ago, Vox Day released a new column at the WorldNutDaily where he claims to take apart some of the “New Atheists”’ strongest commonly used arguments. (See a little preliminary write-up I made, here.) I haven’t read it, and nor do I have any interest in doing so, but Ed Brayton took apart the hilariously silly introduction at his blog, deriding Vox’s use of silly ad hominems and remarkably pathetic criticism, such as where he basically called Christopher Hitchens “gay!”, which makes one wonder if he isn’t mentally stuck at 14 years old. (No offense to emotionally mature 14-year-olds intended.) See Vox’s characteristically vituperative and empty retort, here. If he really thinks Ed somehow didn’t know that it was the introduction he was taking apart, then he’s even more of a projecting dingus than I thought.
Historians lash out against the Texas State Board of Education for its appalling history revisionism, indicating that perhaps the wingnuts took their denialism of reality just a bit too far this time.
