So Miss Christian Family Values is a dirty hypocrite?

Is this Carrie Prejean’s “busted!” face?

The hypocrisy pouring in from the religious right is neverending, it would seem. Here’s the latest blow to their “family values” pharisaicalness^[1]: Carrie “All-Boobz-No-Brainz” Prejean, known for her idiotic statements against gay marriage whilst running for Miss USA some time ago, has been forced to settle her lawsuit against the Miss California pageant after she got busted for having her own sex tape. The conservative view of “family values” never ceases to amuse, does it?

Los Angeles, California (CNN) -- The sudden end to a legal battle between dethroned Miss California USA Carrie Prejean and pageant officials was prompted by the revelation of a "sex tape," according to a source familiar with the lawsuits' settlement.

Prejean was fired in June after lingerie-modeling photos of her emerged that pageant officials said were a breach of her contract. Prejean sued the pageant in August, arguing her firing was religious discrimination because of her opposition to same-sex marriage.

The veil of secrecy was partially lifted Wednesday after celebrity gossip Web site TMZ reported the deal was sealed after pageant lawyers presented an "extremely graphic" home video involving Prejean.

TMZ Managing Editor Harvey Levin said during a webcast Wednesday that he obtained the Prejean video during the summer, but found it "too racy" to post on his site. He indicated Prejean was alone in the video.

The source with knowledge of the settlement talks told CNN those details were accurate.

And the religious right’s latest fake hero/icon/martyr goes down the drain like so many others before her when it’s revealed she’s nothing but a common slut^[2]. Yeah, we’re all shocked.

You know what the funny thing is? None of this would’ve happened if she’d just learned to shut up. Yes, she was cornered when Perez Hilton asked her about her stance on gay marriage during the pageant, and she had no choice but to reply. Whilst inflammatory, the controversy would’ve been quite short-lived had she realized it would be better for her to keep her opinions to herself and just parade around like the beauty queen she is (yes, that’s derogatory to me). But she just had to keep mouthing off against marriage equality all over the place at any opportunity she got … Well, what else could’ve happened? Beauty queens are meant to look pretty and shut up, not give their worldviews. If Prejean was too stupid to understand this from the get-go, then I have nothing but joy at the idea of her being publicly derided into shame.

[2] Before getting outraged at my use of the term: not everyone who makes sex tapes of themselves are sluts (whether it be guys or girls). But anyone who leaves it lying around in a way that it can get picked up by the likes of TMZ, which means it already had to be easily accessible, are.
