Foxx, has anyone told you you’re batshit insane lately?

| »

No, not Fox Newz, though I don’t expect them to be rushing to admonish these remarks. I’m talking about Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), a congresswoman already known for her opposition to healthcare reform with her arguments that it would kill old people, that it is against the Tenth Amendment, and most poignantly, that “there are no Americans who don't have healthcare”, which effectively shows she is an ignorant old fruitcake. Well, if you think those remarks are atrocious, she has now taken her lunacy one step further:

...I believe that the greatest fear that we all should have to our freedom comes from this room -- this very room -- and what may happen later this week in terms of a tax increase bill masquerading as a health care bill. I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country.

I pray for the day where sanity becomes a requirement for one to be allowed to speak before Congress.
