Time is usually quite a restricting thing in the House of Representatives, which often forces speakers to give condensed remarks on the House floor and then later place their full, detailed statement in the Congressional Record. This is a perfectly routine request and is always granted to any member of any party.
Unless, of course, it is a Democrat seeking to make remarks pertaining to the healthcare reform bill who tries to speak, in which case a Republican would stand there and whine “I object!” over and over (and over) again like the mental four-year-olds that they are, effectively drowning them out and with the express intent to delay the healthcare reform vote. Here is a video of this ridiculous behavior:
What a puerile circus. These assclowns need to be sent back to their playground sandboxes. Maybe they can build a sand castle they can then govern, instead of wasting everyone’s time with their churlish games and incredibly childish tactics.
