People can be offended by absolutely anything these days. For example: recently, a recent atheist billboard campaign was launched with the incredibly non-offensive tagline, “Millions are good without God”. It is nothing more than a mere statement of fact, and an outreach to other like-minded atheists.
But, don’t expect those Poor Persecuted ChristiansTM to feel that way, as is evidenced by this photo:
Amazing. By which I mean how people can be such an immature bunch of blind fools. Seriously, if a message that simply states the obvious in such a non-insulting way is offensive to you, or if the very idea that there may be people who don’t believe in your god goes against your denialism of reality, then be offended.
Luckily, American Humanist Association executive director Roy Speckhardt seems to be taking this with a sense of humor:
"If we replace the billboard our next slogan might read 'Being good without God clearly not for everybody'," Speckhardt joked
Damn, I would totally put that. (Though, I do wonder what would happen to such a billboard, if the very mention that there are good people without God merits a spray-paint can. I’m betting it would be burned to the ground.)
