Stupid Quote of the Day: Pastor Tom on Hollywood’s insouciance

| »

From T.Estes of HardTruth (no way in hell I’ll ever stop calling him that ;-)), ranting speaking about how atheists think it’s unfair and ridiculous that Creation, the Darwin biopic, isn’t gonna be shown in the U.S. out of fears that it’s “too controversial” (something we both disagree on, though for starkly different reasons):

The only problem with that line of thinking is that most of Hollywood is far left and therefore doesn't care what Christians think. At almost any hour of the day you can find anti-God programming on TV.

Yes, he actually said that. Apparently, he lives under the delusion that Hollywood, an industry with the specific goal of making the largest amount of money possible (which is the point of an industry) through cinematography, doesn’t care what the large majority of America, which is over 70% Christian, thinks, and nor does it care if these Christians are insulted, which would drive them (and their moneybags) away.

It gets even better; he then mentions, of all things, South Park as an example of these “anti-God” shows that run “[a]t almost any hour of the day”. Right, because South Park has everything to do with the film industry, doesn’t it? I mean, what with films and television programming being entirely different things and all that.

This guy seriously needs to learn the slightest amount about that which he speaks. This is just hilarious.
