I'm not following what Ray's trying to say

Not because he's blabbering again (I usually don't even read when he does), but because his post title and content (which is just a link to a Fox Newz video) don't seem to match all that much.

From the title ("Who Says God Doesn't do Miracles for Amputees?"), we gleam that the video linked below is supposed to be proof or testimonial that, well, God helped an amputee in what is expected to be some remarkable way – I dunno, growing a limb back or something. Because, of course, anything less than that (such as using prosthetics, or finding renewed determination in life, or whatever) would obviously stem from the human will and ingenuity, rather than divine influence.

But then, the video he links to is about an Army Sergeant who lost his leg to a roadside IED (Improvised Explosive Device), and who then decided to train for a marathon using a prosthetic leg.

Okay, yes, the guy shows admirable courage and inner strength; no-one's denying that much. But what has this got to do with God doing a "miracle" for him? There are thousands of amputees using prosthetics to run marathons. Inspiring, perhaps, but hardly "miraculous".

Though, perhaps one just needs to lower their standards to see the "miracles" of the every day life ... (*Oh God*)
